Writing The Redo Button

The first book of Marcel’s Marvelous Misadventures is officially available today, and I am so proud that I finally get to share it with y’all.

After years of working on this, with one of the first drafts being published in an anthology back in 2021, I am so glad that I can finally announce that book one in Marcel’s Marvelous Misadventures is now on Amazon!

I first began The Redo Button with the intention of it becoming a stand alone children’s picture book. Then, it morphed into a children’s chapter book, and then the manuscript was published in The Rubicon, then I decided I wanted it to be a read-aloud book with big vocabulary, then I decided it needed to be a children’s book series, and then God laid it on my heart to weave Biblical principles into each book so that readers are exposed to Biblical truths while reading.

While I love being creative, I do not claim to be any good at drawing! So illustrating my own children’s book was OUT. I don’t know why it took four years to finalize a draft that I wanted to publish, but God knows all things. He knew I needed to be a mother to really understand the importance of instilling morals into the youth. And He knew I needed to meet a Suzie to come alongside me and illustrate the pictures!

I am just getting started on this journey, with the goal of four more misadventure books each teaching their own moral lesson. I hope these books inspire children’s imagination, test their vocabulary, and most importantly spark meaningful conversations that will lead them to Jesus.

Thank you for joining me on this journey to celebrate Biblical principles, literacy, and imagination through children’s books.

The late, great CS Lewis once said: “Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.”

This has been a labor of love and the most fun experience working with a local high school student with so much talent! The Redo Button is available as paperback and hardback. Be sure to leave me a review! Happy reading!
